Carpet cleaning
Vacuuming removes loose dirt, but it doesn't lift the grease and grime that get ground into office carpet over time. That's what makes walkways look grey and dull. We use hot water extraction for most commercial carpets, which flushes dirt out of the fibres and leaves carpet fresh and dry enough to walk on within a few hours.
For areas that can't be out of use for long, we offer low-moisture encapsulation cleaning, which dries in around an hour. We also pre-treat stains such as coffee, ink and chewing gum before the main clean.
Hard-floor cleaning and maintenance
Different floors need different care, and the wrong product can damage a surface or make it slippery. We assess your floors first and choose the right method for each one.
- Machine scrubbing of vinyl, safety flooring and tiles
- Stripping and resealing vinyl floors to restore shine and protection
- Deep cleaning tile grout
- Cleaning and polishing natural stone and marble
- Cleaning and maintaining wooden and laminate floors
- Anti-slip treatments for washrooms, kitchens and entrances
Floors in clinical settings
In GP surgeries, dental practices and clinics, floors are part of infection control. We follow the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness colour-coding approach, use products suitable for clinical areas, and can work to your practice's cleaning schedule and audit requirements. See our clinical and healthcare cleaning page for more.
How often floors need attention
Most offices benefit from carpet cleaning once or twice a year, with entrances and kitchens more often. Vinyl floors in busy areas usually need scrubbing every few months and resealing once a year. We'll suggest a sensible schedule after seeing your site, and we can plan it around holidays or quiet periods so it doesn't get in the way.
Regular floor care also helps your flooring last longer, which saves replacement costs and helps if you have a dilapidations clause in your lease.
