What we clean
We look after all the glass in and around a commercial building, on a schedule that suits how quickly it gets dirty. Shopfronts on a busy road might need weekly cleaning; upper floors of an office might only need it quarterly.
- External windows, using water-fed pole systems up to roughly four storeys
- Internal windows and glass meeting-room partitions
- Shopfronts, signage and entrance doors
- Skylights and atrium glass where safe access is available
- Frames, sills and ledges as part of every clean
Water-fed pole cleaning
For most external glass we use water-fed poles with purified water. The water has no minerals in it, so it dries without leaving spots or streaks and doesn't need detergent. It also means our operatives work from the ground, which is safer, quicker and avoids ladders on busy pavements.
For buildings above the reach of a pole, or where access is tricky, we arrange the right access equipment through trusted partners and manage the job for you, including any permits needed.
Safety and compliance
Working at height is one of the biggest risks in cleaning, and we take it seriously. Every job has a risk assessment and method statement, operatives are trained in safe working at height, and we follow HSE guidance. We carry full public liability insurance and are SafeContractor approved, which makes us straightforward to approve for landlords and managing agents.
Scheduling that fits your building
We agree a fixed schedule, typically weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly, and send a reminder before each visit. If you already have a Tidyee office cleaning contract, window cleaning can go on the same invoice and the same account manager looks after it. If you just need windows, that's fine too.
Early-morning visits are common for shopfronts so the glass is clean before opening. For offices, we can work during the day without disturbing staff.
Why clients choose Tidyee
We have more than 25 years in commercial cleaning and a 95% client renewal rate. Our operatives are DBS-vetted and directly employed, not agency staff, and you have a named account manager who answers the phone. Prices start from £20 per hour, and we give a fixed price per visit once we've seen the building.
Common questions
- Do you clean windows in the rain?
- Light rain doesn't affect water-fed pole cleaning, because the purified water leaves no residue. We reschedule in high winds or storms for safety.
- Do you need access inside the building?
- Not for external glass cleaned from the ground. For internal glass we need access, which we arrange with you.
- Can you clean high-rise windows?
- Above pole height we arrange specialist access through trusted partners and manage the job end to end.
